Never a dull moment

This morning I indulged Sophie by making pancakes.  At the end of breakfast (Sophie and Chris has already left the table) I came out of the kitchen to the table with four more hot pancakes on my spatula.  What did I find?  Rowan had crawled out of her highchair and onto the table.  She was on all fours diving into the platter of pancakes!  When I shook my head and came forward she shook her head and retreated— almost backing off the table.  I quickly set down the spatula with four hot pancakes on it and grabbed her.  When I turned around, Charlotte, still in her highchair had grabbed the spatula and was flinging the spatula and pancakes everywhere!  Aahhhh….  And best of all, by the looks on their faces Charlotte and Rowan could not have been enjoying themselves more!

Tears are the silent language of grief

-Voltaire
We have lost friends recently. In our thoughts, a sadness lingers for the memory of those we knew and loved.
Rest in peace friends.  Thank you for showing us how to treat this life as a treasure. May we continue to honor you in life by living in your example.
